With just hours remaining in the January transfer window, what further activity could happen at Swindon Town ahead of the rest of the season.

The transfer window will close at 11 pm and is the last opportunity for clubs to make changes to their squads during this season.

On deadline day so far, Swindon have brought in Connor Ripley on a permanent basis from Port Vale on a contract until the end of the season.

Town were linked with a move for Josh Benson from Barnsley, but with Joel Cotterill set to remain at Swindon for the rest of the season after Swansea City signed Lewis O’Brien on loan, that is likely to conclude any interest as he was lined up as a back up for if the Welsh Under-21 international was recalled.

Ian Holloway has also said that he is pleased with his defensive options as Joel McGregor, Grant Hall, and Miguel Freckleton are all set to return from injury within the next few days.

The likelihood of outgoings is very slim, although not impossible, ahead of the deadline as The Adver understands that any exit would only happen if Town were blown away by an offer.

There have been some rumours that Salford City might make a move for Paul Glatzel, but whilst there has been interest from The Ammies earlier in the window, this has gone quiet and that move is not expected to happen.

There have also been murmurings about late interest in Will Wright but this has not materialised into anything concrete and Swindon are hopeful of keeping him.
